National Tumbling Championships

in Stoke on Trent 17th-18th May 2008:

County Floor and Vault competition, May 2008

On the 11th May Harlequin Gymnastics club took part in County Floor and Vault competition held in Luton. We had many gymnasts representing the club in all different age groups.

In level 5 age 8’s- Amy Thurgood came 6th of vault and 9th overall.

In level 5 ages 9 &10’s- Harriet Dashwood came 7th on vault and 13th overall. Mollie Walsh came 3rd on floor, 9th on vault and 5th overall. Sophie Black came 2nd on floor, 2nd on vault and 2nd overall.

In level 5 ages 11&12 years- Natasha Jeffcoate came 3rd on floor, 7th on vault and 3rd overall. Ellen Woodhouse came 1st on floor, vault and 1st overall county champion for Level 5 ages 11 &12 years. Amber Whales came 18th on floor, 11th on vault and 18th overall.

In level 5 ages 13 &14 years- Georgina Brierly came 6th on floor, 2nd on vault and 5th overall. Billie-Jade Ferguson came 2nd on floor, 3rd on vault 2nd overall. Rebecca Davis came 3rd of floor, 5th on vault and 3rd overall. Mandy O’Gorman came 4th on floor, 4th on vault and 4th overall. Larna Saunders came 6th on floor, 10th on vault and 9th overall. Lydia Gordon-Head came 10th on floor, 8th on vault and 10th overall.

In level 4 age 9’s Jessica O’Sullivan came 3rd on floor, 2nd and vault and 3rd overall. Izzie Miller came 2nd on floor, 1st on vault and 2nd overall. Sofia Walker came 1st on floor, 3rd on vault and 1st overall county champion for Level 4 In age 9 years.

In level 4 out of age 10 & 11’s Jade Redrup took 2nd on floor, 2nd on vault and 2nd overall.

In Level 4 out of age 12 &13’s Libby McNeill came 2nd on floor, 1st on vault and 2nd overall. Sophie Smart came 4th on floor, 6th on vault and 5th overall.

In Level 4 out of age 14 plus Hannah Mustoe took 7th on floor, 6th on vault and 7th overall.

In Level 3 out of age 11 &12’s Maja Austin came 2nd on floor, 2nd on vault and 2nd overall.

In Level 3 out of age over 13’s Nicola Dunn came 4th on floor, 4th on vault and 5th overall. Victoria Rankin came 6th on floor, 5th on vault and 6th overall.

In Level 2 Out of age, Rebecca Mead came 1st on floor 1st on vault and 1st overall county champion for Level 2.

In General Level 2 girls 9 & 10, Skye Longworth came 4th on floor, 9th on vault and 5th overall.

In General Level 2 Girls 11 & 12, Sophie Brunker came 6th on floor, 8th on vault and 8th overall. Lucy Freeman came 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall. Amy Freeman came 8th on floor, 5th on vault and 6th overall.

In General Level 2 Boys 11 &12, Rory Donnelly took 1st on floor, 1st

In General Level 2 Girls 13 & 14, Amber Donnelly came 3rd on floor, 3rd on vault and 2nd overall. Catherine Jell took 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall.

 In General Boys 13 &14 Alex Jones came 1st on floor, vault and 1st overall, becoming county champion.

InGeneral Level 2 Girls 15 &16, Joanna Helsby took 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall, becoming county champion. Charlotte Sneddon came 4th on floor, 3rd on vault and 3rd overall. Rebecca Norgate came 3rd on floor, 1st on vault and 2nd overall.

In General Level 2 Boys 16 and over, Rory Price came 1st on floor, vault and was Overall County champion for Level 2 Boys 16 and over.

In General Level 1 Girls 8 & 9’s Alicia Anderhub came 5th o n vault and 9th overall. Amie Redrup came 5th on floor, 6th on vault and 4th overall. Kayleigh Parker came 3rd on floor, 8th on vault and 4th overall. Libby Eeles came 6th on floor, 9th on vault and 6th overall.

In General Level 1 Girls 10 & 11, Hannah Douthwaite came 4th on floor, 8th on vault and 4th overall. Geogia McElwee came 3rd on floor, 11th on vault and 6th overall. Beth Tippite came 6th on floor, 2nd on vault and 3rd overall.

In General Level 1 Girls over 12 years, Evie Allen came 2nd on floor, 13th on vault and 5th overall. Stephanie Czoborreik came 7th on floor, 6th on vault and 7th overall. Stephanie Hull came 3rd on floor, 5th on vault and 3rd overall. Gabriella Wills came 9th on vault and 11th overall. Carly Lathwell came 13th on vault and 14th overall. Charlotte Barrack came 12th on vault and 13th overall. Nicola Marsh came 6th on floor, 7th on vault and 6th overall. Amber O’Connell came 5th on floor, 1st on vault and 4th overall. Kimberly Smith came 4th on floor, 3rd on vault and 2nd overall. Kayla Irving came 4th on vault and 10th overall. Chritine Harwood came 10th on vault and 12th overall. Amy Humphries took 1st on floor, vault and became overall county champion of Girls General Level 1 over 12 years.

Harlequin School of Gymnastics entered the Regional Sports Acro Championships, and bought home 7 medals.

In the National 1 Tumbling Age Under 12  Ellen Woodhouse came 7th, Sophie Black came 4th, Sofia Walker came 2nd and Jade Redrup came 1st.

In the National 1 Age Under 12 Mens Tumbling Rory Donnolly came 1st.

In the National 1 Age 12-14 Tumbling Catherine Jell came 4th.

In the National 2 Age Under 12 Tumbling Jessica O`Sullivan came 4th, Sarah Byrne came 3rd and Maja Austin came 1st.

In the National 2 Age 12-14  Tumbling Sophie Smart came 6th and Libby McNeill came 7th.

In the National 2 Age 15+ Tumbling Vicki Rankin came 2nd.

In the National 3 Age Under 15 Tumbling Rebecca Mead came 3rd.

In the National 1 Trios Charlotte Sneddon, Vick Rankin and Sofia Walker came 2oth.

Well done to all the gymnasts competing against gymnasts from all of the East Region.

Jade, Rory and Maja now go on to present the Eastern region in the National Finals in May at Stoke-On-Trent.

County Tumbling Championships

Harlequin School of gymnastics took part in the county tumbling championships on the 16th of November, bringing home numerous medals:

National grade 1 womens tumbling 9/10 Mollie Walsh came in 1st position scoring 78.30, Harriet Dashwood came 6th scoring 64.70

National grade 1 womens tumbling 11/12 Natasha Jefcoate came in 2nd position scoring 71.20

National grade 1 womens tumbling 13+ yrs Lauren Hearne came 2nd scoring 69.90

National grade 2 womens tumbling 9/10 Jade Redrup came in 1st position scoring 77.60. Sophie Black came in 2nd scoring 77.30.

National grade 2 womens tumbling 11/12 Ellen Woodhouse came 1st with a score of 78.40, Lucy Everson cam 2nd scoring 75.70, Chloe Sutton came 3rd scoring 74.30 and Amber Whales came in fourth position with a score of 73.90.

National grade 2 womens tumbling 13+yrs Lana Saunders came 4th scoring 74.20, Catherine Jell Scored 74.10 coming in 5th position. Mandy O’Gorman came in 6th position scoring 73.10 and Georgina Brierly came 7th scoring 73.00.

National grade 2 Mens tumbling 11/12
Rory Donnelly got 1st position with a score of 76.30

Jessica O’Sullivan and Sofia Walker competed in the National Grade 3 womens tumbling U13 yrs. Jessica came 1st position with a score of 77.40 and Sofia came second with a score of 77.00.

National grade 3 womens tumbling 13+yr Libby McNeill came in 1st position scoring 75.50

Maja Austin Competed in the Elite grade 1 womens tumbling 11/12 yrs coming 1st with a score of 81.50.

Rebecca mead came 1st with a score of 81.90 competing in the Elite grade 2 womens tumbling 13/14 yrs.
