Harlequin will be hosting the county schools gymnastic competition in May, and will continue to provide opportunities for the community and schools, as well as high-class coaching within the club.

March 2009 - Nine schools around Bedfordshire entered into a Key Steps gymnastic competition, which was held at Harlequin School of Gymnastics' new state-of-the-art facility. Children were transported in from Heath Wood, Aspley Guise, Hockliffe, Husbourne Crawley, St Georges, Beaudesert, St.Leonards,  Mary Bassett and Stanbridge.  The gymnasts were required to perform a one- minute group routine to music, which they had been practising all term. Schools also had a fantastic opportunity to be taught by Harlequins’ coaches on different pieces of equipment.

The standard of gymnastic performance from all schools was much higher than last year. This demonstrates the value of having a community gymnastics coach available to visit the schools to help teachers and pupils achieve higher levels of success.
